The Ho-Chunk Nation, is a Native American tribe, They are the original peoples of Wisconsin, and have been here for thousands of years.
The Ho-Chunk Nation has many traditions and customs. They take care of their people. They have their own government and tribal laws.

1. Culture: Their culture practices include traditional ceremonies, music, dance, and art.
2. Language: The Hocak language is an oral traditon being taught through efforts to revitalize and preserve it.
3. Sovereignty: As a sovereign nation, they govern their own affairs. Each member takes part in the government decisions.
